The Zeilbeck Group has an extensive team of Behavior Consultants. We provide Behavioral Support Services in both District 1 and District 2. Our behavior consultants are trained to assist participants in appropriate expression of emotions, socially appropriate behaviors, and the reduction of inappropriate behaviors.
Our behavior consultants will spend the first few weeks observing the participant in a variety of environments, such as; the individual’s home, school, work site, community, etc. After collecting data from the observation period, the consultant will develop a behavior support plan which identifies the participants target behaviors. The behavior consultant will then train the families and direct care staff on the behavior support plan to work towards decreasing unwanted behaviors. The behavior consultant can achieve this by teaching the participant coping skills, stress reduction techniques, and positive replacement behaviors.
